EU law protects passengers on flights departing from Ireland, or arriving into the EU on an EU-based airline. If any of these apply, you could have a valid claim.
"Honestly didn't think I'd get a penny back from the airline. CompenFlight handled everything and €250 landed in my account about five weeks later. Couldn't believe how easy it was."
"My Amsterdam flight was cancelled the morning it was due to depart. The airline said it was an extraordinary circumstance. CompenFlight pushed back and got me €400. Delighted with the result."
"I'd been putting off claiming for months because I thought it'd be a nightmare of paperwork. Took me two minutes to fill in the form. CompenFlight did everything else and I got €400 back."
Nothing upfront, ever. We take 25% only when we successfully recover compensation for you. If your claim isn't successful, you pay nothing — not a cent. That means we're only motivated to take on claims we believe in.
In Ireland, you can claim for flights disrupted within the last 3 years. So if your flight was delayed or cancelled anytime in the past 3 years and you haven't already claimed, it's worth checking.
EU261 covers all flights departing from an EU airport (regardless of airline), and flights arriving into the EU operated by an EU-based carrier. This includes flights from Dublin, Cork, Shannon, and all other Irish airports.
Your flight must have arrived at your final destination 3 or more hours late. It's your arrival time that matters — not the departure. If you landed 2 hours 59 minutes late, unfortunately that doesn't qualify under EU261.
It depends on the airline. Some pay out within a few weeks; others require more chasing. We handle all communication with the airline on your behalf and keep you updated throughout the process.
Yes. If the airline rejected your complaint or simply didn't pay, we can still take it on. Many airlines routinely reject initial claims hoping passengers will give up. We know how to push back.
Airlines frequently cite "extraordinary circumstances" to avoid paying — and frequently get it wrong. Under EU261, only genuinely unforeseeable events outside the airline's control (such as severe weather or air traffic control strikes) qualify. Technical faults, crew shortages, and operational issues do not. We assess every rejection carefully and challenge the extraordinary circumstances defence where it doesn't hold up.
Not necessarily. Your booking confirmation email is usually enough to get started. A boarding pass helps confirm you were actually on the flight, but if you don't have it, we can often work with your booking reference and the airline's own records. Don't let missing documents stop you from checking — submit what you have and we'll let you know if anything else is needed.
